BAKE 35 – SEPT. 5, 2020

Yeast Utilized: 2 1/4 teaspoons

So, turns out that accidental cucumber bread doesn’t really hit the spot. I decided to make a few loaves of Brown Bread for the upcoming weeks of teaching.

Dry ingredients gathered while the coffee and yeast get to blooming.
Wet ingredients added, except the yeast mixture. Just loving that hearty bloom.
Nice and kneaded. Ready for rise.
Risen! Man, I love the color of this bread.

I then split the dough into two. One went in the usual cast-iron skillet, but I chose to do the second in a regular loaf pan.

Ready for second rise.
Second risen! And with cuts and olive oil drizzle.

I probably could have baked them a bit longer, but overall, success.

And much tastier than cucumber bread.

To the next bake—–>
